The Cam-Roses

“The Cam-Roses”

Members of the Crown Jewels of Canada Society

And the Camrose and District Senior Society

The Crown Jewels of Canada Society is a registered non-profit organization based out of Kelowna, British Columbia. Our Chapter, which is known and registered as the Cam-Roses, and is based out of Camrose and District Senior Society (Senior Centre).

Our colors are purple, red, and white, with red and white representing the Canadian flag, and purple representing royalty. We may wear our colors in any combination we wish.  We may wear all white, all red, all purple or mix our colors; and we must wear something on our heads, in any of our colors.

The Cam-Roses are not a sorority or a service club, although we are not averse to giving a helping hand when needed.  Our main objective is to form a sisterhood where we can support one another in times of distress, and to lighten our lives with light-hearted fun.  We love teas, fashion shows, shopping,   theatre, or just going out for lunch.  We are often invited to special events in other communities, towns, or cities. In addition, we, on occasion, visit and have tea, and enjoy the companionship with folks who reside in special facilities.

Basically, we are just a great group of ladies who love each other’s company.  Come join us for coffee some time and see what we are all about.  We meet the first Tuesday of each month at Mirror Lake Centre (Senior Centre) in the card room at 10:30 a.m.
